Realistic boundary conditions in patient-specific CFD simulations are essential for accurate evaluation of the disease. 

 

Comparisons between in silico results with clinical right heart catheterization pressure data demonstrated a good correlation when appropriate boundary conditions are assigned, by accounting for resistance, compliance, and impedance, to represent the distal vasculature.
